Hexodic is a hex-board strategy game for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. This policy explains what information the app handles and the choices you have. The short version: Hexodic requires no account to play, uses no advertising or tracking, and the only data we collect is anonymous records of completed games — never tied to your identity — which we use to train and improve the game's computer opponents.

This is the only data Hexodic collects from you, and it is central to how the game improves, so we describe it in full.
What a record contains. When a game finishes, Hexodic can create a record that contains only:
What it does NOT contain. A record carries no name, email, phone number, Apple ID, Game Center identity, device identifier, advertising identifier, or precise location. It includes only a fixed, non-identifying local label. We treat these records as not linked to your identity ("Data Not Linked to You" in App Store terms).
How we use it. We send these records to our servers and use them to train and improve the game's computer opponents — both a global model and national models tuned to how players in a given country play. We do this to make Hexodic a deeper, stronger strategy game. We do not use these records to build a profile of you, to advertise to you, or to track you across other apps or services.
The country code, and location. To train national models, a record may include the two-letter country code for your country. Your country is determined on your device — either from your device's region setting, or, if you grant optional location permission, from a single coarse location reading that is converted to a country code locally. The underlying location is never stored or transmitted; only the country code may be included in a record. Country is not precise-location data and is not on its own personal information.
Your control (opt-out). Collection can be switched off at any time in Settings › Share anonymous game data. When it is off, no records are created and nothing is sent.
Retention and deletion. Because these records are anonymous and not linked to you, they cannot be traced back to an individual, and for that reason we cannot locate or delete an individual person's records on request. We retain anonymous records to train the game's AI. You can stop all future collection at any time using the opt-out above, and you can remove all on-device data by deleting the app.
Beyond the anonymous game records above, we do not collect, and the app contains no code to collect:
Hexodic does not track you across other apps or websites.
If you choose to play online multiplayer or appear on leaderboards, the app uses Apple Game Center. Sign-in and your Game Center identity are managed by Apple, not by us; we do not receive or store your Apple ID, email, or password, and we do not attach your Game Center identity to the anonymous game records described above. You can play the entire single-player game without signing in to Game Center. Game Center is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Hexodic offers optional, purely cosmetic board skins and effects as one-time (non-consumable) purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see or receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID. The app records which cosmetics you own on your device and re-derives ownership from your App Store purchase history when you tap Restore Purchases. Cosmetics are visual only and never affect gameplay.
The anonymous game records are received and stored on servers we operate through a cloud hosting provider (Microsoft Azure), which processes the data on our behalf. Aside from that hosting provider and Apple (Game Center, App Store, and standard iOS system services), we do not share your data with any third party, and we use no advertising networks or third-party analytics providers.
If you use Hexodic outside the region where our servers are hosted, the anonymous game records may be transferred to and processed in that region. Because the records are anonymous and not linked to your identity, they do not identify you. Apple's services you choose to use (Game Center, App Store) are operated by Apple under its own policy.
Hexodic is a strategy game suitable for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game records we collect are anonymous and contain no personal information. Game Center accounts and any Family Sharing settings are managed by parents through Apple.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes — in particular, any change to what we collect or how we use it — will be reflected here and in the App Store privacy information before the change ships. The "Effective date" above marks the current version.
